The Village of Kipilovo & around
Kilpilovo is a 40-minute drive north from the city of Sliven. The village is surrounded by lush, unspoiled countryside, and is good for walking, hiking and fishing. Some of the deepest caves in Bulgaria are nearby.
It is set on a small river and is made up of a mixture of old traditional cottages and houses from the 1920s and 30s. The village is quiet and peaceful. There are a couple of small bars and a shop, and the locals are a friendly and welcoming to visitors. Kilpilovo has retained its agricultural traditions (horses, donkeys and goats are a common site around the village) and there is an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy produce, fish and meat available.
